A leading wind energy developer and constructor.

The Wind Project Developer will be responsible for day-to-day aspects of project development, from site prospecting through commencement of construction. The focus of this position will be to help screen, identify, secure and develop profitable site opportunities to meet our Client development goals. Permanent job based in Germany.

Responsibilities:

Spearhead effort to analyze and acquire potential wind project sites within a designated region.

Hands-on, day-to-day aspects of the Company wind farm early stage development activities, including:

  • Site prospecting, assessment, & selection
  • Liaison with consultants, land owners and local communities.
  • Lead effort to acquire of permits.
  • Lead effort to acquire necessary options, leases, and easements from landowners.
  • Preparation of inputs for the financial assessment of projects.
  • Have excellent knowledge of land acquisition and transmission application processes.
  • Help to ensure effective liaison with other company departments and a smooth hand over from development to construction for successful projects.
  • Represent the company if necessary in public landowner or county meetings.
  • Help to ensure compliance with the company internal procedures, including safety, quality and environment.
  • Familiarity with and ability to stay current regarding changing regulatory requirements.
  • Have excellent knowledge of land acquisition and transmission application processes.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects in multiple locations against tight timeframes and budgets.
  • Ensures Quality and Environmental procedures are maintained.
  • Understanding of contract terms and ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Employees must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess an appropriate valid driver’s license, possess personal insurance coverage, and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Responsible to ensure SAFETY requirements must be met.
  • Stay current with professional and industrial best practices.Must be able to work professionally with clients, vendors, employees, managers and supervisors.
  • Regular attendance is an essential requirement of the job.
  • Follow any other job-related duties/functions requested by the supervisor.

Your Profile:

Education: BS Degree in business, science, engineering or other related subject.

3-5 years experience developing energy projects strongly preferred.

Proven track record of successful negotiation skills relating to project development.

Ability to think creatively to successfully overcome obstacles and achieve objectives, financial targets and/or deadlines.

Needs expertise and the necessary skills to interface with stakeholders and will be instrumental in delivering on time cost effective projects.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, good interpersonal skills, Entrepreneurial abilities.

Experience in the following areas would be preferred: project development experience in the wind power or wind energy sector.

Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%-50% of time if necessary.

Skilled in MSOffice, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint.
